    It doesn’t matter what your skills are now. This surf school is for beginners and intermediate surfers who want to surf for fun!

    At a comfortable pace, you will build your skills and progress in a nurturing environment. Our coaching methods - including small groups - are designed to create an easy and safe learning environment.

    Your coaches are passionate, everyday surfers who have a love of surfing, a love of the ocean, and simply want you to have the best time possible while learning to surf.

    Surf Conditions


    No single beach can provide suitable conditions every day at the same time, so we find the most enjoyable and learner-friendly conditions available on the day, and modify the time to suit. This practice keeps everyone safe, allowing you to enjoy your experience more and progress faster. We may use any beach between Town Beach and Grants Beach in North Haven, and have a courtesy bus to transport you if needed .

    Lesson Structure


    You will be learning in a small group, that’s a maximum of six students and one coach. This intimate style of coaching builds rapport and trust, while your coach figures out what you need to know, faster. This structure doesn’t change in busy periods.

    There is quite a process behind learning to surf. Our coaches break the learning process down, communicate the next step, and make it fun and easy for you.

    Equipment – Keep Safe, Warm, and Protected


    In all lessons, we will provide you with the highest quality equipment: safe soft boards, wetsuits, rash-shirts, and sunscreen. When the water is cold you can use one of our many steamers to keep you warm.

    We are constantly expanding our range of fibreglass surfboards for advancing learners.
